Back in business at garageband.com
Seeing as how MySpace is a cesspool of wannabe teen hookers and unsung rap legends, I've been posting tracks again over at Garageband.com, where I can be judged by other bedroom electro-noodlers like myself. I've been getting some good feedback on a few tracks, some that I may actually act on as I try to refine half-assed beats into actual compositions.
I like the process - you post a song, it goes into the hopper with a bunch of other songs, people listen to it and review and rate it relative to other songs. Sometimes their comments are useless; sometimes they're very constructive and helpful. Some people have actually gone so far as to say things like "I don't think most people will like this, but it's really good and you should keep doing it." Which is cool, because that's how I've felt about my own music for a long time.
